RAYMOND – Miss Charity Lockridge recently competed in the Miss Mississippi competition in Vicksburg and was named a Top 10 semifinalist.
Lockridge, of Vicksburg, a student in the college’s Dental Assistant program, sang “Via Dolorosa” for the talent phase of competition and presented her social impact initiative of promoting good oral health through a program she calls “Project Smile.”
“I could not be more proud of our Miss ,” said Angela Hite, director of the pageant held each year at Hinds. “Charity did an excellent job of representing Hinds. To make the Top 10 at Miss Mississippi is an outstanding accomplishment, and she truly deserved that honor.”
She won Miss Hinds in 2019 but was unable to compete in Miss Mississippi, which was canceled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. She was also a past Miss Hinds pageant winner, in 2017.
